Erin Donovan spent most of her career in television news in markets from Boston to Knoxville. She is an Emmy Award-winning journalist. Erin served for five years as director of communications and social strategies for Visit Knoxville, the marketing organization for the City of Knoxville and Knox County. She now is a Communications Consultant for companies and non-profits.
As a videographer for WFXT in Boston, Massachusetts, Erin earned an Emmy Award for coverage of Whitey Bulger. She earned television awards from the Associated Press and Maine Association of Broadcasters and recognition from the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) for her videography. She has a total of 23 years of experience in television.
She serves on the board of the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club. She also is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville’s Class of 2018.
Erin is a frequent speaker and emcee at events throughout East Tennessee. She served for years as “Biscuit Queen” for the International Biscuit Festival. Erin has served as a mentor for 15 years at Big Brother Big Sisters. She is also a Specialized Bicycle Ambassador. You can usually find her in the Urban Wilderness with friends or at home because of Covid-19.
