Hilda Castillo is the Health and Resources Coordinator at Centro Hispano. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Hilda arrived in Knoxville two-and-a-half years ago after being forced to escape the conflict in her country. After completing her immigration process, she swore that she would work to support the Latino community through education and guidance. Not only as a means of empowering her community, but also of giving back to this country, the United States, for opening its doors to her and making her feel at home.

For two years she has worked to promote health and coordinate community initiatives for Centro Hispano. Fiercely passionate about her work and helping others, Hilda works every day to help change the lives of everyone she serves.

She is the proud mother of two children, and is thrilled to have recently welcomed her first grandchild. In her free time Hilda enjoys playing with Legos to construct models of contemporary-style architecture and collectible cars, go to the beach and spend time with family and friends.
