Melvin was born in Chicago, Ill but grew up primarily in California and Puerto Rico (PR). His father received a call from God to serve in Puerto Rico when Melvin was 12. Melvin lived in Puerto Rico for 10 years so he is able to serve the community both in English and Spanish.
